There’s always been rivalry between Sydney and Melbourne. And, while often it’s not much more than a joking opposition, I’m sure we can all think of times when a friend or acquaintance has taken it one step too far, loudly proclaiming “Melbourne has the best club scene”, or “the festivals in Sydney are way better”.

It’s reminiscent of that image regularly posted in message boards and on forums (pictured below), when petty disagreements get out of hand; “Arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you’re still retarded”. Yes, the Sydney vs Melbourne squabble is entirely pointless, and the living, breathing proof that the cities can co-exist in peaceful acid-tinged harmony is here to make you dance like a mother-fucker.
