STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW.

US house veteran Jay-J continues to hold a solid presence in global dance music, in spite of the fact that the scene is shifting and changing around him. While he’s one of the originators of the San Francisco house sound, recently he’s relocated to New York City – but believe it or not, he says he’s been taking more inspiration onboard from his regular visits to Australia and his work with local artists like Husky and Yogi of Random Soul.

While he’s dabbling in electro and dirty basslines, on a whole he’s still consistent with his classic sound and says he’s as house proud as ever. He talks to ITM’s Mo’ Funk about how he’s rolling at the moment DJ wise, some of the approaches that he takes as a producer and what we can expect when he returns to Australia for his upcoming Australian tour.

Catch Jay-J delivering his SF/NYC/Australian house sound at the following dates…

Saturday November 24th: Industrie, Sydney Presented by SHE
Sunday November 25th: The Point, Melbourne
Saturday December 1st: Electric Circus, Adelaide
Sunday December 2nd: Sundae, Brisbane
