STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW
For most DJs, beatmixing in time is hard enough. For Minneapolis-bred virtuoso Chuck Love, it’s just one part of the equation. The man’s sets famously include guitar, trumpet, mouth keyboard and other instrumental oddities – and, yes, he plays them all himself.
Love has had a standout year. His debut long-player Bring Enough To Spill Some was released on Om Records, with one disc of original cuts and a second mixed for the dancefloor. Its rich production and summer-ready vibe leave no question of the talent behind the boards. Not surprisingly, Australia is enamored with the guy. The feeling, it seems, is mutual. Love is heading back down under with his bursting box of tricks this New Years Eve period. He speaks to ITM’s Jack Tregoning about his musical juggling act and why we Aussies can’t get enough of it.
Catch Chuck Love doing his thang’ at the following dates…
28th December: Ambar, Perth
1st January: Sydney, Field Day
5th January: Gold Coast, Summafieldayze
5th January: Sydney, The Arthouse Hotel
