STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW
Although the brains behind successful event promotions company Fuzzy are usually happy to stand in the background, preferring instead to let their artists soak up the spotlight, when it comes to the jewel in the crown of their annual event calendar – Field Day – it’s not surprising that Ming, John and Adelle are happy to come out of the shadows and speak their mind.
On NYD 2008 Field Day will celebrate its 7th year, and it’s definitely come a long way since the first event way back in 2002. It’s interesting to see the shift in musical trends across the years, with the party initially starting out as a predominately house and breakbeat focused event. It’s now one of the most diverse on the summer calendar, with electro, hip-hop, tech, indie and more all thrown into the mix.
Listen in as ITM’s Tim Hardaker speaks with Ming about the event’s colourful history and plans for the future, including the news that 2008 will see the Fuzzy Breaks stage dropped from the lineup.
‘Field Day 2008’ the CD is out now through Ministry of Sound/EMI, featuring tracks from festival headliners like Spank Rock, Malente, Green Velvet, Kiss Sellout, Claude Von Stroke, Angello & Ingross and many more!
