Riding high on the success of their sophomore album, 2006’s ‘People Of The Pieces We Love’, NYC punk-funkers The Rapture are one of only a handful of bands that are able to court both the club and indie scene with effortless ease. Having toured Australia for the first time ever in early 2007 as part of the V Festival, it seems the band were so impressed with life down under they’ve decided to head back less than a year later. Returning to Oz in February for the Good Vibrations Festival, when ITM spoke with Luke Jenner – the band’s vocalist/guitarist – late last year he revealed that they had something of an ulterior motive for accepting the tour; a two week holiday. Who could blame them?
