By now you’ll be well aware that Katalyst finally released his long-awaited second album What’s Happening last year to critical acclaim and rapturous fan applause, featuring the singles Say What you Feel and All You’ve Got, and culminating in an extensive national tour where a whole bunch of guest vocalists that featured on the album were taken along for the ride. “They were definitely the best shows I’ve ever done, the crowds in every state were amazing and overseas the crowds were really good as well,” says the man himself, otherwise known as Ashley Anderson.
But things aren’t slowing down just yet – there’s a remix album that’s on the way for the end of this year with names like The Nextmen and Z-Trip tipped to feature, and of course he’s about to hit the road again for another series of massive shows as one of the top-tier local acts on the Good Vibrations lineup – Katalyst’s first ever festival tour. Here he talks to ITM’s Mo’ Funk about what went down last year, what’s to come in 2008 and what we can expect when he hits the road again.
