STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW
After having had such a ridiculously massive year in 2007, some would say there’s not all that much left for Muscles to achieve. He signed to one of the coolest indie labels in the scene (Modular), toured the US with Soulwax after meeting them at the V Festival in Australia, played the Wireless Festival in the UK, released his debut LP and went on the road with Parklife… then to cap it all off was picked as one of the support acts for Daft Punk’s on their enormous NeverEverLand tour.
So, he’d have no more boxes left to tick on his to-do list, right? Bugger that; instead of taking the first few months of 2008 off for much needed R&R, Muscles chose to spend the time working on new material, as well as playing the Good Vibrations Festival in Sydney and supporting the Chemical Brothers on their recent tour. This month he’s also heading off on his biggest headline tour of Australia yet, playing 15 shows around the country to support the release of his latest single, ‘The Lake’.
ITM recently caught up with him to find out how he felt coming off the back of such a big year in 2007, how his new material is shaping up, and when we can expect to see album number two in stores.
