STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW
The press release for dysfunctional indie-electro-whatever outfit The Bumblebeez’s April tour promises you everything but a polished performance. It’s an interesting approach to take, especially in a day and age where live acts are routinely tied to the proverbial post and beaten for missing a single cue or fumbling a line… but The Bumblebeez do things their way (as effectively proved by taking over 4 years to write, record and finalise their debut album), so they don’t really give a fuck if you care or not.
Speaking with Chris Colonna – the band’s un/official leader – it becomes apparent rather quickly that he has about as much idea what’s going to happen onstage as the audience. But that’s the way he likes it, and it’s the same reason interested music fans will check the shows out when the band undertake their very first headline tour throughout the month. “We don’t take it too fuckin’ seriously, like it’s a life or death thing,” Chris dryly remarked to ITM. “There’s definitely still a lot of fun and spontaneous (elements) involved.”
You can check out The Bumblebeez on their debut headline tour this April. Expect the unexpected!

I heard an interview with Bumblebeez where the lead guy said he hated touring - I'd rather not go see a band that isn't enthusiastic about playing their own music.
