STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW
With countless singles in her arsenal – including iconic tracks like ‘Bad Babysitter’, ‘Perfect’ and most recently ‘Licky’ – and a well-worn reputation for devastating dancefloors across the globe, there’s no denying that Princess Superstar is the first lady of modern electronic music. We last saw her majesty down under as part of the 2007 Future Music Festival tour. Widely proclaimed to be one of the highlight acts on that year’s tour, after a little while away from our shores she’s finally set to break the drought with a run of headline club shows over the coming weeks.
Reports indicate she’s currently locked away in the studio working on her brand new album, the follow-up to 2005’s ‘My Machine’ which featured production contributions from iconic names like Jacques Lu Cont, Junior Sanchez and Armand Van Helden. Who she’ll work with on the new album and how it will sound is anyone’s guess, as Ms Superstar is tightlipped on its progress, but so far she’s revealed singles with Larry Tee and Fatman Scoop are in the can. ITM had the chance to speak with her highness recently and endeavoured to find out more…
