US DJ/producer Christopher Lawrence is riding high on the flood of creativity that we’ve enjoyed in trance in 2008. “The trance scene is as vibrant as ever,” Lawrence told ITM. “The variety of styles within trance is huge. There was a period of time where everyone was going for the epic trance sound, and hoping that a few of the key DJs were going to play their tracks. But electronic dance music in general has had an explosion because of digital distribution, it’s just a fantastic time for music.”
Sounds like Christopher Lawrence has enjoyed a massive personal boost from all the excellent new music that’s getting seeing release at the moment. Fittingly then, he’s been chosen as the rotating resident at Australia’s biggest new weekly trance club. Future Entertainment’s much talked-about new night Infinity will be debuting at Melbourne’s QBH this weekend, and Christopher will be there to help usher in the one of the biggest new additions that the Australian clubbing scene has seen this year.
