Starting their career in Israel, over their years on the worldwide psy-trance scene Infected Mushroom have risen to the position of global superstars. Their incendiary live shows and no holds barred production work has won them fans from Tel Aviv to Timbuktu, and Australia in particular has always held a soft spot for the duo.
Now based in America, Duvdev and Erez had an ulterior motive for relocating to Los Angeles – to make a crack at writing music for films. “We did release one song in a movie by Adam Sandler, which was kind of funny for us,” Duvdev reveals. “We also had a deal with EA Sports releasing a track of ours in one of their FIFA games. We’re always doing [music] for soundtracks, but most of the time it’s really hard to get it in the final cut of the movie.”
In a word, the Infected Mushroom touring regime is relentless, and it often sees the boys in a new country every weekend; in recent weeks they’ve visited exotic locales like India and Mauritius. Their constant traveling is perhaps the main reason they’ve been able to gain such notoriety around the world, and just last month they saw themselves rewarded with the #10 spot on the DJ Mag Top 100 for 2008.
“We [often] find ourselves usually on a shitty small stage in the middle of nowhere in the most amazing place on the planet, and it’s usually a really, really good party!” Duvdev said, when asked what it’s like touring to the type of countries we have trouble pronouncing. “A lot of people are coming because they don’t get this kind of music every day. We always like to go there, expect the flights y’know… they’re usually really, really far.”

Damn shame there not doing side shows in the major capital cities. There'll be so many tools at stereosonic, I heard last year it was a bigger show crowd than summadayze, now that's something!

yeh its crap that theyre just going to stereosonic. not the right crowd at all for them, people wont appreciate it. doesnt make sense theyre going to be in melbourne while earthcores on but not there:(
