Kieran Hebden AKA Four Tet makes electronic music that fuses the machines together with a touch of acoustic warmth, a unique approach that’s been evidenced in his remixes for Beth Orton and Radiohead. Constructing his groundwork on the textured electronic rhythms that we know and love in dance and club music, he casts his net much wider to take in jazz, soul, folk and much more.

He’s in Australia now, touring as part of the Laneway Festival as well as a show at Hyde Park Barracks as part of the Sydney Festival. ITM’s Melanie Mahoney finds out what we can expect when he hits the stage.

Catch the electronic/organic experience of Four Tet at the following shows…

Wed 28th Jan – Beck’s Festival Bar, Sydney
Sat 31st Jan – Laneway Festival, Brisbane
Sun 1st Feb – Laneway Festival, Melbourne
Fri 6 Feb – Laneway Festival, Perth
