Kid Cudi, the US rapper with the left-of-centre ethos will cap off a triumphant 12 months with his Australian festival birth at Good Vibes next year.
2009 has been a coming of age year for the Kanye West protégée, just last month releasing his cinematic debut album The Man On The Moon: End Of Day, a refreshingly thoughtful hip hop record. Such seems to be the course Cudi’s career is taking, with the rapper dabbling in multiple fields, including dance collaborations with Crookers, David Guetta and Ratatat as well as the requisite rap hook-ups with Kanye and Common.
ITM caught up with the rap star to discuss his slot at Good Vibrations as well as emerging trends in hip hop and balancing his exhausting schedule.
