A handy guide to the all-new inthemix

Welcome to the new-look inthemix! We hope you’re as excited about the raft of new features and tools as we are. To help you navigate all the changes, here’s a quick guide to what’s new.

Photo tagging
We’ve introduced photo tagging to our event galleries, so you can see which of your friends were out and about on the weekend. You can also add your own personal happy snaps to our official galleries. It’s all part of the new social networking capabilities on inthemix.

Enhanced profile pages and social networking
Your personal profile pages now look a whole lot slicker, with a bunch of new features to boot. We’ve introduced new social networking capabilities to help you connect with friends on inthemix, plus status updates and shout-boxes. The profiles now also feature a better portfolio section for contributors to show off their work.

Roll call and invite process
We’ve streamlined event roll-calls, so you can invite other ITMers to come party with you. In fact, the entire What’s On listing section has had an overhaul. There’s now a far easier submission process and forum integration for event creators, making the What’s On listings much more dynamic.

Article comments and ITM News Room forum
Now when you put a comment on inthemix content (reviews, interviews, DJ mixes and so on), the commentary will be fed into the new ITM News Room forum, improving the flow of discussion.

New photo submission process and viewing
We’ve put particular effort into streamlining the photo submission process, so contributors will now find the uploader simpler and better. The look of the inthemix photo galleries has also been given a significant facelift, with bigger images, comments and hearting of images, photo-tagging and integration to the forums and related content.

Audio streaming capabilities, streaming podcast and downloads
Our podcasts and free downloads will now also be available to stream, so you can listen before you download. The inthemix audio player has also been given an update to make it a much smoother experience.

Top articles and tag cloud
Exploring the content on inthemix is now so much easier, with the introduction of our ‘Popular This Week’ box on the homepage and ‘tag-cloud’ that shows you which events and artists are getting other ITMers excited. You’ll also find the article pages – from features to album reviews – much easier on the eye. There’s also the chance to stream highlight tracks on our Album Of The Week reviews.
