I hold a weekly residency at Funktrust, and I play at Good vibrations every now and then. This mix was intended to showcase some of the best beats in my collection, so inevitably there is a rather substantial UK hip hop section which appears in the first half of the set. Following that is a slower section containing tracks and remixes from artists who were instrumental in shaping how I look at music. Guys like Krush, Gangstarr, Herbaliser, KRS, Shadow, etc. I finished it off with a handful of tunes that are undeniable raw funk, but that were made within the last year or two. Hope you enjoy it.
