For anyone in Perth, the name Kriece is synonymous with bad jokes and lots of passion. He’s a bit like that meat pie down at the corner servo. No one knows where he came from, and he probably isn’t ever going to leave.

Kriece has been dabbling in production for some time and in recent months has had a huge amount of success and playtime. Quirky tech house sounds mixed with driving rhythms and neat stabs have made him popular with the likes of James Zabiela and Hernan Cattaneo. Zabiela even featured Ola Dub on his Digweed Kiss FM Guest Mix last year. His recent ‘Alcohouse’ EP with NSW based producer Dave Basek aka Junkbeats has been released through EQ Grey LtD to huge international acclaim.

His international popularity amongst the tech house crowd has led to him working with Jeff Bennett of Pokerflat fame, and Earth Dueley of Low Pressing fame. Both collaborations have had stunning results that are sure to be popular with many DJ’s.

This set captures a rare moment of Kriece venturing outside the comfort zone of his studio for a set at Perth’s number one tech house night ‘Blood Sugar’ in May.
