Forming in Brisbane in 2002, Statler and Waldorf’s sound has developed through a near continuous series of live shows. Over the last two years, S&W have been billed for numerous festivals and events including The Big Day Out, Advent*jah, BBQ Breaks, the West End and Crossroads festivals. Such appearances see Statler and Waldorf hold their own on bills alongside some of the biggest names of international electronic music.

Meanwhile Statler and Waldorf have still found time to lock down in the studio and record their debut release ‘Collusions’ (2004). The EP, released in October, 2004 shows a gentler side of the Statler and Waldorf production machine featuring some of Australia’s finest old and new talent including Paul Kelly, Miss Brown and Blue MC.

Released through Freefall records, the quality of the EP is reflected in the praise of reviewers and its rotation on Australian National Radio (Triple J) and local stations. The first single from the album debuted at #11 on Triple J’s national radio chart.

Early 2005 sees Statler and Waldorf continue their live performance roster while finalising tracks for their new releases. The new Statler and Waldorf album is expected to hit the shelves mid year.
