Malcolm’s music of choice is House, he is just as comfortable warming up an early room for a guest dj or pushing a hands in the air crowd till close. His sets incorporate all things funk fuelled, tribal tinged, electro driven and his beloved tough progressive never leaving the dance floor disappointed….. But regularly gagging for more!
Malcolm has played alongside Aya Larkin (Skunkhour) supported Groove Terminator, Casey Taylor, Kazu Kimira, Darude, Nathan G, Mr Timothy, Master H, Abel el Toro, DJ Rebekah (UK), Sveta and Kate Monroe plus an array of Brisbane’s local talent. The artists supported and having played parties and venues from Townsville to Sydney is one of his biggest assets and testament to his diversity and versatility as a dj. Malcolm was a state finalist in the Heineken Found @ Thirst dj Competition 2004 and is a weekly contributor to the ARIA club chart.
2005 has seen Malcolm playing one of Brisbane’s seminal house clubs ‘Monastery’ for his third consecutive year! Now also Monthly Resident at The Rolling Rock in Noosa and Motown in Mooloolaba. Malcolm has played main room at ‘Family and will be guest dj at ‘Quest’ Broadbeach December 10 and playing ‘Uber’ West End in December.
Malcolm has an extensive background in Commercial Radio with The Austereo network in promotions and as an announcer from 1996 to 2000 and for the last five years as his alter ego ‘Supermal’ doing traffic reports for Triple M Brisbane, The early starts are a little rough when dj’ing three nights a week but music is his passion or is that better phrased….an addiction which keeps him going?
