Dance Valley Festival 2005: One dance, one love, one happiness, one weekend… and 60,000 partypeople.
11 years ago some Dutch friends decided to throw a dance party near Amsterdam in the spirit of the ever famous Glastonbury festival. A festival full of dance, love and happiness. This festival became commonly known as “the Woodstock of Dance”. In all these years, the worlds greatest DJ’s hosted the stages. People came from all over the world to visit the valley of dance.
On the weekend of August 5th & 6th, Christopher Lawrence appeared for the first time at Dance Valley.
On Friday, Christopher played the Main Stage and returned for an encore performance on Saturday night, headlining the ‘Electro Beats’ Trance Stage. We managed to secure a recording of Christopher’s set from Dance Valley on Saturday night and have made it available to limited radio outlets for broadcast.
Since taking out the #7 position in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 last year, Christopher has embarked on a year long whirlwind tour schedule which has taken him to every corner of the globe. Dance Valley formed part of Christopher’s hectic summer tour schedule which included the massively popular European, UK, North and South American festival circuits, in addition to club dates across the globe.
No doubt, Dance Valley is the jewel in the summer festival circuits crown, boasting massive and highly produced, themed stage areas, cafés, a campsite with supermarket and even an outdoor cinema. Other Djs appearing at Dance Valley this year included Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Sasha, Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, Deep Dish plus over 150 other world class artists.
Carl Cox says “Missing Dance valley for a year means not having lived for a year”. Your listeners may not have been able to attend Dance Valley this year, but you can bring them the sounds of Christopher Lawrence’s set, live from the event.
