DJ Rif Raf - Deep As Electro

Co-Founder of RIF Productions a successful Sydney production company, Rafael Gimelstein, aka DJ RifRaf, is promoting and playing weekly at parties, festivals and one off events at home in Sydney and internationally.

Raf holds residencies at Phoenix’s “Deep As Fuck” & Sando’s “RifRaf” nights. He headlined Earthdance Festival main stages since 2000 both @ Sydney Park & Melbourne’s Federation Sqr. RifRaf had residencies also @ Moulin Rouge, Candy’s Apartment, Club 77, Mars Lounge, Civic Theatre + more.

RifRaf is merging weird future beatfunk with minimal, electro, tek-house, breaks and spank-rock influences. Tempo productions, a Sydney film company has documented the life of RifRaf in 2004. The preview is available on-line.

Raf previously toured across India, Seychelles, Thailand, New Zealand, Switzerland and the rest of Europe where he played to variety of crowds in the underground network in Delhi including club “Elevate”, few fashion shows and famous “Zenzi Bar” in Bombay, “Mecca”, “Buchanir” & many more in Czech, “Stereo 45”, “Hellios”, “Men’s Factory”, “Love Generation”, “Gravity”, “Kombo” & “Techno Valentino Festivals” in Lithuania. He has featured at the Mercedes Australian Fashion Week 2003 and BICO special events @ Bondi Pavillion and in his last extensive 5 weeks tour playing across London’s “Galery”, “Market Bar as well as Tel-Aviv’s “Maxim” and “Pacha” clubs.

In Australia RifRaf is known also for his heavy involvement both in organizing, producing and playing at some of Australia’s most exciting festivals and events including Earthcore Carnival, Newtown Festival, Outback Eclipse Festival, Summer Dreaming, Rainbow Serpent, Surry Hills Festival and every year he headlines the main stage at his legendary Earthdance Sydney Festival with a constant growing crowd estimated to reach 100,000 people in 2008…?
