Originally from the steel city of Newcastle, Jimmy left behind what seemed to be a prospective golfing career in 2000 and headed for the big city in search of bigger and brighter things. Having listened to his first Ministry of Sound compilation, he soon realized there was more to dance music than just the “doof”. With this in mind he decided to explore what to him was a relatively new sound. He soon found himself grooving away to the sounds of Sweetchilli at the old Dendy. He soon witnessed international DJ’s such as John Digweed, Sasha, James Zabiela and Danny Howells as well as the local legends such as Mark Dynamix, Tim McGee and Robbie Lowe.

Never a person to take anything too seriously, Jimmy is a versatile DJ whose talent is his ability to read a crowd and take them to a place that always rocks without having to make any compromises in his execution. Expect to hear a musical montage of tech house, progressive, breaks and a dash of electro infused beats.

Jimmy’s latest accomplishment has involved winning the 2006 Sweetchilli DJ competition amongst a talented lineup. This entitled him the main slot during the August Sweetchilli where he is now a regular guest DJ.

An established up and comer in the Sydney scene, his experiences have seen him play at some of Sydney’s most respected club events such as Sweetchilli, Musica, Sounds on Sunday and Habit.

2007 holds big things for Jimmy. He has recently returned from a tour of Japan, been offered a residency at Sydney’s newest night, Famous at Home Nightclub as well as promoting his own event, Bowlarama as well as a juggling monthly residencies at Habit and the Harbour Bar in Newcastle.
