The album ‘The Warning’, a stunning hybrid of Dance and Indie, earned them worldwide praise; they were nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and British NME voted the single ‘Over and Over’ as “best song of 2006”. In a unique way, the 5 piece band is mixing up different music styles and are re-defining pop music. Their influences are extremely diverse, ranging from Kraftwerk to Beach Boys to Devo or Talking Heads. Next to writing their own songs, they are sought after remixers; the endless list contains Junior Boys, Amy Winehouse, Booka Shade, !!!, Badly Drawn Boy, Pavement, Gorillaz, Architecture In Helsinki and more.

Hot Chip are loved and defined by their difference, drawing on their fondness for diverse sounds, their first ever DJ Kicks Mix is an eclectic melting pot of madcapped madness, from German Minimal Techno, UK Garage, Hip Hop & Soul over to Classic Pop, expect to boogie and shake to Positive K alongside New Order, meshed with Etta James filtered into Joe Jackson and ending with Ray Charles. Fucking genius!
