King Roc is a “purveyor of such laid back electro that somehow still retains an element that makes you want to go nuts.” His ‘Flicker’ EP is a true refection of this statement; consisting of 4 outstanding tracks (‘Flicker’, ‘Carbon’, ‘Flux’ and ‘Kita Mono’) that encapsulate the current climate of cool. This EP is going to scorch the dancefloors this summer. The label it’s released on, Love Minus Zero, is headed up by Tom Neville and is launch pad for future stars of the electronic age; who better to showcase this, than King Roc.
It’s been a busy couple of years for Martin Dawson aka King Roc. In the last few months he has been heavily involved with remixes for artists such as Future Sound Of London, Junkie XL and New Order along with DJing all over the world from Asia, Russia, Australia and Europe with forthcoming tours in South America and Canada coming p!! Plus his usual stint at the infamous after-party Breakfast @ The Egg in London. The King of Roc has been working furiously in the studio concentrating on an artist album that we are very excited about plus collaborating with Giles Smith (Secret Sundaze) under the guise of ‘Two Armadillo’s’ which is sure to produce some electrifying results.
