Scott Fischer burst onto the Canberra dance scene in 2006 and has rocketed to become one of the most promising and talented DJs in the nation’s capital. With an impeccable taste in music and skills to boot, Scott quickly managed to secure monthly residencies at some of Canberra’s finest underground parties including Deep Throat and Bleep alongside fellow Canberrans the Aston Shuffle, Shunji and Drew Lyristakis. His diversity has seen him support such bands as The Dardanelles, Young and Restless, Hancock Basement, Are the Brave all Dead, and including such DJs as Sam La More, Trent Rackus, T-Rek and Spruce Lee. Aside from this he has made appearances at the monthly parties Man Shandies and Racket (now renamed Pang!), as well as local hip bars Trinity and Knightsbridge Penthouse. Like many DJs in this modern musical climate, describing Scott Fischer’s sound proves to be somewhat difficult given the varied styles he plays. However you could say it broadly covers the better sides of house, disco, techno and electro with quite a lean towards Italo-disco influences. Scott Fischer is destined to be a major player in this game so make sure you catch this star in the making while he’s still young and bright eyed.
