If a DJ’s worth were measured by longevity alone, Mark Dynamix could hang up his slipmats. Having DJed professionally for more than 15 years, Mark is a significant figure in Australian dance music culture. He’s a part of its past, present and future; part of its identity. For many, he was the guy behind the decks when you first got into dance music, one of the DJs who changed what you thought music was about – from the early Field Of Dreams & Prodigy dance parties, Voodoo at Sublime on Pitt Street, Big Day Out tours across the country right up until the Ministry of Sound tours of now. He has hosted a long list of radio shows over the years, interviewing folks like The Prodigy, Depeche Mode, Laurent Garnier & Basement Jaxx. Of course none of this would mean anything if he didn’t have the talent. Technically flawless, Mark’s expertise with the decks combined with an inspired record selection works alchemy on a room full of clubbers, swaying anyone within earshot to become a dedicated dance music aficionado.
