Andy Murphy is Melbourne’s latest rising star at just 23 years of age. With his own signature sound of house and electro, he pulls in the crowd at every gig he plays at. Born in Melbourne and with a mild obsession for music, Andy began DJing at the age of 18 after discovering clubs and falling in love with house music. He polled in at a staggering #28 in the inthemix50 in 2006, proving he’s already made his mark on the scene. Andy’s immense musical talent and taste for quality music, meant that it was not long before Andy would be playing at exclusive gigs. With residencies at some of Australia’s biggest club nights, Andy plays weekly at onelove (Voted: ‘Australia’s Best Club Night’) in the main room in Melbourne, as well as various gigs around the country. Andy also holds other residencies across Melbourne including Lucky @ Boutique, Birdhouse @ Motel and 161, as well as playing a number of regular sets around the country, with regular trips to Byron Bay, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Despite his hectic schedule Andy has also found time to hit the studio as part of the production trio The Little Rascals. Together they have a string of releases on the way. Their remix of the Stafford Brothers’ ‘More Than a Feeling,’ becoming a club anthem and helped get ‘The Little Rascals’ their first spot in the ARIA Club Chart Top 30. Next followed their current Club Chart pleaser ‘Essence’ which peaked at #12.
