As one of the most respected and influential DJs in Australia with 20 years experience under the (not so serious) moniker, Groove Terminator started out playing punk, hip-hop and electro on his radio show in the early 80s as a teenager then fell in love with acid and the early Chicago house sounds coinciding with the arrival of 1988s Summer Of Love. In the early 90s he released 2 techno EPs called Terminator Trax, which were flogged by the likes of Carl Cox and Jeff Mills. Signed to Virgin/EMI in 1997, he has so far released 2 full length artist albums picking up several ARIA nominations including best male artist along the way. Other awards include Best Producer at the inaugural Australian Dance Music Awards and has several times been nominated for Best National DJ.

Other aliases include Chili Hifly (Ministry Of Sound/Kontour/Central Station) with the first single ‘Is It Love?’ scoring a billboard #1 in 2001! and Loverush (Azuli,Credence.) And enjoys an ongoing mix CD and touring relationship with Ministry Of Sound and describes his current DJ sound as electronicacidfunksweatrocknoise. Simon is currently in the studio working up a new Groove Terminator album currently describing the sound as “Kiss meets INXS back stage at a New Order concert with Bomb the Bass serving the drinks”. He has also collaborated with Sam La More as Tonite Only, fusing a contemporary dance floor aesthetic with a post-modern pop sensibility.
