Serge Santiago is one of the hottest producers in the UK. Influenced by italo disco records, his unique electro sound has been projected to the forefront of the dance music scene and his colourful releases have become indispensable and coveted DJ tools. Serge started off as a resident at Brighton based Stompa Phunk and subsequently released his first string of records on the Stompa Phunk imprint. Serge’s reputation steadily rose with each release and was cemented by his remix work under the name of Radio Slave. It resulted in the release of over 30 remixes in under two years with highlights including reworks of Kylie Minogue, Fisherspooner and Tiga.
Serge has now made a name for himself by releasing a string of Italo\Disco re-edits, each packed in a single colour sleeve. These releases were met by tremendous acclaim with DJ’s all around the world playing the tracks and asking for more. Always released in a low-key manner each of the coloured edits found itself in charts and DJ cases, receiving airtime and props, in less time than it takes to say Serge Santiago. By this time Serge decided to set up a new label to serve as an outlet for his own production as well as for potential talent. Arcobaleno Records was born and graced with a first release by Santiago himself entitled Atto D’Amore (Act of Love). Living up to all expectations, the track was a huge success, receiving acclaim on all fronts and causing an interest to be expressed by larger labels in a possible sign-over.
Serge Santiago recently mixed one of the discs for the ‘We Love Ibiza’ CD, alongside Riton. The CD is available now through Ministry Of Sound UK/Stomp.
