Atomic Hooligan are about to drop all kinds of dancefloor devastation once again. The next few months are hectic with single releases, a new DJ show, a new album release and a new live show! Warming up to the release of their 2nd album “Sex, Drugs and Blah Blah Blah” is the release of first single “Papercuts”with the B side “Weed”, followed by the “Decks, Mic and blah blah blah” DJ tour featuring Genesis Elijah.
With their reputation already established as standard setters with their award winning debut album “You Are Here”, the new album continues to push the boundaries of dance music, featuring collaborations with Hip Hop don’e AFU RA and Genesis Elijah. Along with new recruit Elmo Jones from rockers the Furies and of course Hooligan Favorite Justine Berry from Hey Gravity. While hard at work making the new album, the Hooligans have also been enlisted to craft some major remixes for heavyweight acts such as Groove Armada and Tomkraft.
While their last album “You are Here” was winning awards and accolades from all quarters, The Atomic Hooligan DJ schedule never slowed down and with no halt in sight its no wonder that again, Atomic Hooligan have been voted in the top 3 breakbeat DJ’s in the world. 2007 has already seen them rock parties in Japan, China, New Zealand, Australia, Russia, Canada and all over the UK and Europe including regular spots at the worlds most admired club Fabric.
In between all of this activity. the band have also put together their all new live show. The last incarnation of Atomic Hooligan live rocked heads from Glastonbury to The Secret Garden Festival among other major festivals and clubs all over the UK, Europe Japan. Their new revised show takes this a step further and with gigs already confirmed in early 2008, everyone involved is very excited.
Always informed by breakbeat but never locked down by it. When you listen to their body of work or any of their DJ sets you will find that you can never quite place your finger on any one defining style, but know that you are enjoying your self just listening. This will all be further confirmed in February 2008 when their follow up album hits the shelves. The future is bright, the future is Atomic.
