As summer rolls on Smirnoff Experience’s brand new Area 21 popped up once again recently, this time at Kiss My Grass in Melbourne on the Australia Day long weekend. Having now appeared at Summadayze and Summafieldayze, Area 21 is gaining quite the reputation, with headline DJs playing unexpected sets away from the mainstage… and away from their known style. Recorded at the event on the day, tune in to the sounds of Eric Powell!
Hailing from Manchester, Eric Powell comes from a great tradition of Northern England DJs who put Manchester on the clubbing map in the Halcyon days of the late 80s. Eric first became recognised when he started DJing at Man Alive, which soon became one of the best underground clubs in the North. From there he went on to play at all the major Northern clubs, including the Hacienda, Amnesia, Global Dance and more. Eric owns and runs Bush Records, having released music by Dave Clarke, Felix Da Housecat and more. Eric resides now in Victoria where he continues to run Bush Records.
