Paolo Mojo is acknowledged as one of the hardest working, most exciting talents on the underground house music scene. He’s earned himself a formidable global fanbase thanks to his hectic international touring schedule….from London to LA, Sao Paulo to Sydney, Toronto to Tokyo…. Paolo has graced the decks of all the worlds finest clubs… honing his skills alongside the likes of Sasha, Dubfire, Eric Prydz and Nic Fanciulli.

An impressive stream of music releases have cemented Paolo’s standing. Whether it be original productions or his much lauded mix compilations, everything comes embossed with the Mojo mark of quality. Productions such as 2007’s JMJ single (Pete Tong’s ‘tune of the summer at Pure Pacha’), the legendary 1983 – remixed by his close pal Eric Prydz into one of the anthems of 2006 – or his highly sought after remixes for the likes of Pryda, NRK and Factomania have all done the damage. On the compilation front look no further than the award winning Balance 009 for EQ Recordings, or Renaissance Digital 001.

2007 was an amazing year for Paolo. Destroying clubs the world over on the back of a relentless touring schedule, he launched his exciting new label imprint, Oosh. With three releases already chalked off, 2008 is set to be the year Oosh breaks cover to become a stand-out label for electronic music. Forthcoming projects include Paolo’s much anticipated single Paris which comes compete with a storming remix from King Unique, plus the uber-cool Vendome. Following this will be the double a-side single Nightlaw and Home.

In addition Paolo’s second hotly tipped collaboration with Jim Rivers ‘Ron Hardy Said’ has been signed to Eric Prydz’ Mouseville label – the first outside production to be released on the label. (Paolo holds the distinction of being the first to achieve this on both Pryda and Mouseville). Expect a big release for Ron in the lead up to WMC 2008 complete with Cirez D remix.

He has also completed remixes for Wally Lopez, Patch Park and is set to work with King Unique on an exciting new project for their Curfew label. There may even be time for some of Paolo’s much lauded edits to surface including his sensational full blown remix of Sabres of Paradise seminal classic, Smokebelch II.

As you will see from this hour long snap-shot of Paolo’s skills, jam packed with his forthcoming material and special re-edits, he’s an instinctive DJ – whose innovative programming combined with enviable technical ability sees him move through the entire house music spectrum in his sets. Expect to hear and see a lot more of Paolo in 2008.

Paolo Mojo will be touring Australia in April. Be sure to stay tuned to ITM for updates!
