After developing a very strong following in Australia with their 2005 debut album ‘Boogie Angst’, the Dutch trio Kraak & Smaak release their even funkier (if that was possible!) sophomore album, ‘Plastic People’.
They have had tracks featured on a huge range of compilations and mixes, including Ministry Of Sound, Fuzzy, Rennaisance, Finger Lickin, 18th St. Lounge, Fort Knox, K7 and more. The new album shows a broader range of styles, with the first single ‘Squeeze Me’ their best track yet – quite possibly the catchiest track since ‘Crazy’ by Gnarls Barkley! It is currently burning up radio in the UK (spun by all key Radio One DJs).
Collaborators on the album include Mark Brydon from Moloko, Ben Westbeech (former artist on Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood label who does the amazing vocals on ‘Squeeze Me’), Stones Throw MC & vocalist Dudley Perkins and ‘80s UK jazz singer Carmel.
