Carlos Zarate - Thug 1st Birthday Mix

Carlos recorded this live mix to celebrate the Thug Nights 1st Birthday. The agency and label night has played host to an array of leading underground DJs over the past year, including Luke Fair, Deepchild, Jimi Polar, Mark Murphy, Robbie Lowe and a host of Sydney’s best upcoming and established DJ talent.

Thug started in 2005 as a management company for some of Sydney’s highest profile DJs Mark Murphy, N Zed and Robbie Lowe. After two successful years of management the brand expanded to incorporate events. April 2007 saw the launch of Thug Nights, headlined by Luke Fair who played a secret 3.5 hour set.

A year on and Thug is now monthly at The Civic Underground on Fridays. The first birthday celebrations on April 18 will feature Petter (Border Community, Pickadoll), the 23 year old Swedish wunderkind who has already been responsible for what many would describe as ‘important” productions.
