Percussion Junction deliver room shaking live electro-percussion, fusing hard hitting drums and percussion with funky-ass basslines. When have you seen three drummers on stage combining with a DJ to bring you live electronic music covering everything from global beats to breaks, house and electro? The group brings together drummers Matthew Bourne, Paul Issa and Kane Goodwin with respected Sydney DJ Bentley (aka Benjamin Chinnock) on turntables.

The Percussion Junction sound has been rapidly gaining momentum earning them support slots with international acts such as Krafty Kuts, Talvin Singh, Deekline & Wizard and Panjea, as well as locals Kid Kenobi, Rastawookie, Koolism, Hermitude, Katalyst, Deepchild, The Bird, Rephrase and more. On home turf in Sydney they play a host of inner city clubs from the Basement to The Metro. Add to this a rocking festival reputation that has seen them draw big crowds at the Sydney Festival Beck’s Bar, Earthdance, Peats Ridge and the Amnesty International Australia Freedom Festival.

Their new CD has now landed and it’s a killer. The CD, titled ‘The Beat Cartel’, is over-flowing with rocking dance tracks, tri-lingual hip hop and socially aware lyrics. It also includes remixes by Meem, Omegaman, The Cartel, Roy Two Thousand and The Versionaries. The CD was recently FBi’s Sunset Album of the Week.
