Sydney-born DJ and producer Hook N Sling, aka Anthony Maniscalco is recognised as one of the most exciting genre-blending house producers to come on the scene in recent years, a title which has led him to places most only dream about. In 2007, he pumped up the opening party for We Love Space in Ibiza before jetting off to the likes of the US & China. His track ‘The Bump’ a collaboration with fellow Aussie, Kid Kenobi raked in a coveted ARIA nomination after becoming a worldwide smash and buzz chart number one. It even had the likes of James Zabiela playing it as his encore record. 2008 has already seen Anthony mix the gold selling Ministry Of Sound compilation ‘Clubber’s Guide to 2008’, release his first EP, The Plastic Wrap, and remix for the likes of Lid Lickers on CR2, The Potbelleez and The Cobra Dukes. His hotly anticipated new single, The Best Thing has peaked at No1 on the ARIA Club Charts, and even sees Tonite Only coming out of retirement to remix it. The effect of this kind of hype and high-profile props has resulted in Anthony becoming one of the most in-demand artists around; he’s already toured Canada and 21 dates around Australia & New Zealand for Ministry this year and has shows coming up in China, U.S., Europe & the UK.
