After leaving us breathless with his one-man live show in July last year, Yuksek seems to have a running-bet with Crookers to see who can churn out the most remixes in a calendar-year. Twisting everyone from Siriusmo and Chromeo to M83 and Zombie Nation with his acidic electro-rock, Yuksek’s brilliance as a musician/performer is only matched by his Parisian playboy looks. Labelled by Mix Mag as “a funkier Para One with just a pinch of Simian”, Yuksek proves that you don’t have to be from Ed Banger to be bloody darn good.
