Rafael Gimelstein, aka DJ RifRaf, is one of the most recognised figures in Sydney’s underground scene. As the co-founder of the revered club brand Deep As Fu*k and the co-director of the international music festival, Sydney Earthdance, RifRaf’s influence and contributions to the dance community extend well beyond his DJing and production prowess. With Earthdance growing exponentially each year, attracting over 40, 000 people in 2008, and Deep As Fu*k regularly touring cutting-edge international talent like Gui Boratto, Phonique and Phil Kieran, RifRaf has continued to introduce music lovers to forward-thinking sounds right throughout the past decade.
A classically trained musician in his youth, RifRaf’s DJing style melds micro house and futuristic electronica with minimal, electrofunk, techno and bigbeat influences. From his beginnings playing at Israel’s DnB and techno institutions such as Srita & Bassground, RifRaf has played alongside some of the biggest international acts, including The Chemical Brothers, Oliver Huntemann and Michael Mayer, and is renowned globally, having toured across Europe and the rest of the world spinning everywhere from Indian superclub Elevate, Zenzi Bar in Bombay, Maxim in Tel-Avi, Mecca in Prague, Ultralounge in Tokyo and the Techno Valentino Festival in Lithuania to go with headline slots at the Earthdance Festival mainstage since 2000, both at Sydney Park and at Melbourne’s Federation Square. He has also played at many of Australia’s largest music festivals, including The Future Music Festival, The Newtown Festival, The Outback Eclipse 2002 and The Rainbow Serpent Festival in Victoria.

Firstly - it is Dirty Thirties.. secondly - it is not a dance mix, it is a listening music which can be danced to, but u can do with it much more.. it is a journey which starts with Michael Meyer remix of SLOW.. and goes through dark and deep to groovy n soulful to trippy and driving.. it is all there.. so please have a listen n please put your opinion down, positive or negative - it is all important to evolve.. regards RifRaf :)
