Three continues to be one of the most revered DJs from American shores. He’s left indelible memories for many in here in Oz appearing at the Rainbow Serpent Festival in 2007 as well as a tour this past summer hitting up hotspots like Sunny Events in Melbourne and Chinese Laundry in Sydney.

After many delays his Hallucination Limited label is about to be available digitally for the first time heading into the New Year exclusively with Beatport. An incredible backlog of notoriously hard to find releases (some with new, digitally exclusive mixes) will precede a wealth of new material. A sample of artists to look out for include Terry Francis, Pier Bucci, Reverse Commuter (the new project of Ken Gibson aka [a]pendics.shuffle), Adultnapper & Mr C as Sycophant Slags, King Britt in his techno guise of Nova Dream Sequence and US dance legends Rabbit in the Moon… as well as a release from Melbourne’s own Craig McWhinney!

Coming from the school of American DJs like Josh Wink and Doc Martin, Three has a wide ranging musical palate akin to Andrew Weatherall or Laurent Garnier, and was recently featured as part of DJ Times Magazine’s DJX20 Anniversary profile series as one of twenty DJs who embody the spirit of the American underground along such contemporaries as Josh Wink and Roger Sanchez.

Rolling at a cool 122 bpm this is a mix from October at a Los Angeles day party (that took place in a small dark club!) and displays his love for left-leaning house music of the raw and psychedelic kind. Keep an ear out for the 2nd and 3rd tracks—forthcoming Hallucination Limited releases as well as the cult favorite Second-Hand Satellites—co-produced by Three and Hallucination artist Sean Q6.
