Freq Nasty is one of few producers who is unafraid of genre restrictions; even in the early days, his work with drum n bass legend T Power was peerlessly celebrated in the development of bass culture. These days, he works with people as vast as “fidget house” pioneer Switch, the signature sound of glitchy breakbeat producer Propa Ting, and the California-based band Heavyweight Dub Champion.

Freq Nasty’s recent collaboration with Switch and Santogold, “Creator”, quickly became a universal sensation, gracing everything from radio waves to blogs to TV advertisements. He’s also remixed heavyweights like Kelis, KRS-ONE and Fatboy Slim amongst many more. Bridging the gap between the most current scenes in London’s bass culture, FreQ Nasty rumbles with underground thunder on ‘FabricLive 42‘, a staggering showcase of some of the rawest breaks-led beats around. Evading the pitfalls of a genre-controlled mix, yet at the same time avoiding the stop-start feel of a “mash up” mix – he’s imaginatively arranged a flowing, tightly-connected blend of FreQ-y tracks.

With the bass heavy stomp of L-VIS 1990’s UK take on Baltimore house, the blistering shatter of TRG and several of his own storming productions, including his Santogold hit “Creator“, the mix is a terror to bassbins worldwide. Buckle up!
