I did this mix in 2 parts, the first half of the mix was done a few months back when I was going through a break up. I could never get past the 6th track, it just wasn’t flowing so I left it for a while. The second half of the mix I finished towards the end of December, summer had arrived, the sun, surf and beach are consuming a lot of my daily activities and I think the music reflects that, a new beginning if you will. I wanted to keep the DJing aspect apart of the mix so it’s mixed live with a couple of CDJ’s and good old fashioned mixer. A lot of the tracks are relatively old in the digital sense but all have been very important listening material to me over the last 18 months. I hope you enjoy it!

On a personal front there’s lots of stuff going on for me at the moment. I’m running Thug Records, we are coming up to our ninth release and have already had artists such as Jamie Anderson, Pete Dafeet, Jacksonville, Lukas Greenberg, Sebastian Davidson, Luke Fair as well as local boys Adam Jace and Tim Jirgenson involved. I’m really proud of what we are doing as a label and looking forward to watching that grow over the next 12 months. There’s a Thug Nights coming up on the 28th of February at The Bunker in Sydney so keep your eyes peeled for that. And finally on the production front I have new EP coming out on 2600 Records in Germany that I co-produced with Tim Jirgenson. It will be released in a couple of weeks, our last E.P on 2600 spent 4 weeks in the Beatport Deep House Top 100 with one of the tracks sitting as high as #13.
