He is being tipped by Tiesto as “the hottest producer around” and by DJ Magazine as “the next big thing to hit trance”. He’s already DJed at Germany’s illustrious Love Parade and spun with Tisto on his worldwide ‘ISOS5’ Tour. A few years ago he didn’t own a single piece of studio equipment Now he’s odds-on favorite to become EDM’s next big breakout and the latest graduate to join trance music’s elite ‘Van Clan’. He is Sied van Riel…
A long-term dance fan he was, but it wasn’t until early 2006 that Sied produced his first track, ‘Fearless’. Released on Sub Traxx, it was smashed by early advocate Tisto and proved to be a vital first strike in his music career. Midway through the same summer his follow-up ‘My Dreams’ (released on Expedition this time) saw another superstar DJ take up the championing mantle. Paul van Dyk used the track on his ‘World’s No.1 Victory Mix’ CD, commenting that it had ‘one unique sound that made it rock!’
The search was on for a spiritual label home for Sied’s music, and it didn’t take too long to find it. Dutch super-label Spinnin’ Records signed him and 2007 quickly saw the dancefloor monsters ‘Changing Places’ and ‘Sigh’ emerge.
