Joel has been on the scene for over 10 years now and is best known as “The Swedish Techno Soul”. 1991 was the year and a crazy outdoor rave was the setting – a young and impressionable Joel’s attention was stolen then and there by the exhilarating and invigorating music which he had never experienced before. It wasn’t long before Joel began sourcing House and Techno music himself from local record shops, and along with school friend Adam Beyer, he soon had the DJ bug. His first release, 12” techno track ‘Slaughter House’ was a collaboration with Adam back in 1993, released on New York label, Direct Drive. From then on there was no looking back for 19 year old Joel!

2009 is looking very hot for Joel and the final justification of his immense talent has come with Cocoon, the seminal techno label asking Joel for tracks. Cocoon, Truesoul, Audiomatique, Drumcode, Saved, Harthouse, Railyard recordings… just some of the platforms who love Joels work. His tunes are played by many of the key figures in the electronic dance community; DJs such as Laurent garnier, Sasha, Digweed, Adam Beyer, Loco Dice, Carl Cox, Steve Rachmad, Steve Lawler, Heiko Laux and Nic Fancuilli are all big supporters of his sound. Now signed to Club Class Music Management and DJ agency IMD, his every expanding diary of events will be taken to the next level – Joel is most definitely one to keep your eye on in 2009.
