A culmination of years of performing in punk, stoner rock and psychedelic dub bands, Westernsynthetics’ take on dubstep draws from a vast pallet of influences including techno, dub, acid and psychedelia. In the last 12 months alone Westernsynthetics has supported Skream, Benga, Caspa, Scuba, Cotti & DJ Distance as well as performing at the Rainbow Serpent, This Is Not Art, Pete’s Ridge & Folk Rhythm & Life festivals. Westernsynthetics debut 12”, Engine no. 999 is out now on Sub Continental Dub records. A label he set up with fellow bass addicts Flippo & Kristy Brown that aims to showcase truly novel local sounds; diverse, unique & foward thinking. From deep organic soundscapes to hi-octane filth.
