We’re only three months into the year and it’s already been a HUGE one for PhDJ. The year so far has seen PhDJ supporting Santogold, playing at festivals such as Field Day and Big Day Out with the Purple Sneakers DJs, hitting the airwaves with a live-to-air set on national radio network Triple J, and holding a support slot with Bloc Party.

And the indie party dude is not slowing down! He’s just landed a spot on the bill for Wednesday 1st April supporting THE KILLS at their live show at The Forum in Sydney, as well as upcoming supports for THE DUKE SPIRIT and RATATAT!!

PhDJ has also been busy with his Dept. production side project. Dept. have done a slew of remixes in recent times (Wolf & Cub, Walter Meego, Sneaky Sound System) and with remixes in production for The Jezabels, The Protectors and The Grates they are keeping the tunes coming. For this occasion PhDJ has put together an exclusive mix which he calls the ‘PhDJ Party Time Machine’. In 22 minutes the mini mix features 28 tracks and samples. The name explains it all really – this quick moving mix sees PhDJ digging up left of centre party jams from down the ages, touching on old school, disco, electro, hip hop, indie and some classic pop thrown in for good measure.
