James Corbett is a name well known and respected in the Adelaide club scene. At only 26 years of age this hard working dedicated music enthusiast has devoted many hours to supporting and promoting club music within the state. Originally mixing Hard House and Progressive Trance, James was offered his first gig in 2003 spinning Tech House at E&I Lounge (aka Club Feva).

Preferring to use vinyl, James is predominantly known for this trance styles, which happens to be one of his favourite genres, however he has quite a diverse taste in music with styles varying from house to electro, techno, progressive, trance and hard dance, including elements of breaks and hip hop, and also has an interest in the 80’s sound. He loves remixes of old anthems and tunes which create a positive vibe. Influenced by Paul Glazby, Captain Tinrib, Carl Cox, New Order, and tech trance DJ Eddie Halliwell, James is known for scratching and cutting things up, as a true vinyl DJ only knows how, building high peaks bringing the crowd up to new heights. Synonymous on crowd interaction and displaying an entertaining and sometimes mischievous personality behind the decks, James brings forth an apparent enthusiasm and dedication to his performances.

Continuing on his obvious passion for the music scene, James formed United Movement in 2003 with best mate and business partner Pablo. Organising club, pub, charity events and private functions, this organisation was created with the intention to create awareness of youth issues within the community through music events. 2009 has seen him help work on the Overflow at the bay festival along with a DJ set comprising of progressive and Techno, the festival is going to be an annual event to help raise money for Australia’s River Murray which is in dire need of restoration.
