With more than $6,000 in shit hot studio equipment up for grabs, as well as an official digital release on the Bang Gang 12 Inches label – and, of course, the glory of being named “winner!” – the stakes were indeed high for the recent Spank Records remix competition.

So who won the top honour? As the saying goes, there can be only one (although in this case the ‘one’ winner turned out to be a duo!), so massive congratulations go out to Jad Lee and Dominique Bird of Queensland, whose remix under the moniker Mitzi saw them crowned the ultimate champions.

Their disco re-edit of the Damn Arms single Destination will get a release on Bang Gang 12 Inches in early July, alongside remixes from Munk, Deriedas, Jaunt, Cassian, Zigguratz and the Bang Gang boys themselves. They also walk away with a fantastic pool of prizes including:
