A dark façade hides inquisitive eyes watching as the dj works his trade with his rectangular instruments.
From that moment on Forty6&Two, while unaware, began. MarkoJux, one half of the Forty6&Two circle, had just arrived off the plane from London and found himself standing in a club in Melbourne watching the DJ build his set and create an atmosphere on the dancefloor. The DJ behind the console was the second half of the circle, Lance Harrison.
From this point on the two friends found equilibrium, sharing many tastes in life, none more than their passion for music. Lance & Mark thrived off the sounds and visuals of the deeper, darker more sinister side of life.
Through the years they patiently learned their craft and evolve their sound listening to artists such as Tool, Mr Bungle, Fantomas, Richie Hawtin, Bern, SCSI-9, Brian Aneurysm, Jeremy Caulfield, Steve Bug and many more. These influences would play a part in helping to mould the Forty6&Two sound.
Forty6&Two’s sound is one of dark hypnotic undertones, deep rumbling basslines and lost quirky noise. A sound that plays with your senses and your mind, making you want to hear it again in case you missed something.
