Chicago house authority James Curd now calls Adelaide home, and this weekend he’s heading to Sydney to warm the dancefloor at Adult Disco.

DJing since he was 14, by the time James was 19 he was holding down residencies with Derrick Carter and releasing music on labels around the world. His work with the Greenskeepers is pretty legendary, and he’s an accomplished producer under his own name too.

His latest release, Open Up Your Mind, on German stable Permanent Vacation has been generating deserved heat, joining his remixes of Flight Facilities, Poolside and Hercules and Love Affair’s Kim Ann Foxman in the ‘must-buy’ basket.

This mix for the revered DFA Records (who released Curd’s We Just Won’t Stop a while back) is pretty hot off the presses, and sees the Chicago pro doing house his way. You can even hear some of those aforementioned remixes. Get into it!
