Though by now we’ve proved good on our intentions to turn the ITM-FM section into a stomping ground of exclusive mixes from some big guns of the international dance scene with past mixers like Danger, Digitalism and Sied van Riel, there have been plenty of other mixes that have slipped through the cracks for various reasons. It could be that the artist is too busy to fit an exclusive mix into their schedule or just that they don’t want to! The fact is it’s still a matter of reaching out to artists, labels, managers and anyone who will listen, never quite knowing what will come back.

And that’s exactly what we did when we heard that jacking French star Don Rimini was returning to Australia for a winter tour. And though we weren’t sure what the answer to our request would be Don Rimini bounced back almost immediately, ready and willing to get in the mix for inthemix. Heh.

To get you warmed up for the Don’s big arrival back in Australia we’re pleased to present this very awesome new mix fresh from the Frenchman’s studio sanctum. This time Don has out-done himself, mixing a 60 minute sweat-fest the old(ish) fashioned way. Yep, that means no digital trickery! As he puts it himself this latest Don Rimini mix was “especially recorded live at the studio only CDJs, mixer, and recorder [and] without any editing”. Phwoar!

As you’d guess from that description Don Rimini’s ITM-FM mix is an absolute monster, shuddering and jumping about like a caged animal set loose, bumping together tracks from the likes of Bobmo, Djedjotronic, Tony Senghore and the Don himself.
