Want to know how deep Australia’s production talent runs? A good place to start would be Twenty4, the three-part compilation from local collective Pinksilver Digital. True to the title, the release showcases 24 of our finest producers whose talents reach from dubby techno to house and plenty in-between, including Deepchild, Jamie Stevens, our recent Honour Roll inductee Mike Callander, Craig McWhinney and Michelle Owen. The three parts are all available now on Beatport.
To offer a snapshot of the riches found on Twenty4, Michelle Owen has put together this mix, which features more than ten of the compilation’s tracks. Raised in Sydney but now based in Berlin, Owen released her first productions in 2010 on Dirt Crew, Lost My Dog and Baker Street Recordings. She splits her time between the studio and some of Europe’s most discerning dancefloors, with plenty more to come in 2011. Get listening to this mix to hear why Australia’s punching high on the world stage.
